Your team has four master thieves in it and you can play with friends if you want. It was not bad by any means, but it was not exactly rocking my world. The first time I played Payday 2 I tried it in single player with AI teammates and it was ok. You can also go in all guns blazing and just hope that you have more firepower and are a better shot than the cops and security officers trying to stop you.

This is very challenging to do, but you feel amazing when you do it, plus you are rewarded for it very handsomely.

You can go around and try and complete your heist with stealth. You can rob a bank, an armored car, a store and even make and sell drugs! There is a nice amount of variety and I know in my case, I never ended up having to two do heists that were exactly the same back to back. One of the things that I really like about Payday 2 is how there are many different kinds of heists for you to do. There are plenty of difficulty levels and the higher the difficulty level the more you are rewarded so there is a lot of incentive to replay heists on higher difficulty levels. So it seems that MSI Afterburner was the cause of the crashes in my case. The game does give you a few breadcrumbs to help you get a bit more invested, but I do wish that they could have given us a proper story to enjoy. With MSI Afterburner running, I could rarely make it past 30 minutes without a crash occuring.

So, I exited my MSI Afterburner software (thus killing all of its processes), and so far, I've been able to play the game for a much longer time now without any crashes (probably about 5 hours total without any crashing yet). I do not have the PrecisionX software, but I do have MSI Afterburner, which is a similar program that I use and let run in the background most of the time. What interested me the most was the EVGA PrecisionX bullet.

I've read around on the internet and found some articles, such as this one, that suggests some things to try. Looking at the crashlog.txt file found in my AppData folder, every crash seems to be caused by the "access violation" error. While playing the game, it unexpectedly crashes (quite often). I've recently purchased the Payday 2 Ultimate Edition on Steam.
